The members and friends of Church of the Oaks are actively involved in seeking to spread the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ to members of our local community, and, through the efforts of supported mission and outreach programs, to those living far from us! The following are examples of some of our efforts:

Church of the Oaks Women's Guild. The Guild supports our congregation, as well as community groups in Monterey County such as our local women's shelter.

Christian Education. Adult and children's Sunday school is held every Sunday morning at 9:15. All are welcome!

Women's Prayer Fellowship. Our women's prayer group meets at 7:00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month to pray for our personal needs, our families, our church, our community, our nation.

Rev. Mary Miller is an Associate Pastor of Church of the Oaks who lives and works in Fresno County. She provides a vital ministry of faith and hope to residents of several assisted living centers.

I-HELP. Church of the Oaks has a long association with I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) in the Monterey Bay area.

Under the leadership of our Outreach Commission, and through the support of our members and friends, Church of the Oaks has been able to provide assistance to a number of local, national and international missions. We give praise to God for the faithful and generous contributions of members and friends who have made these efforts possible. In addition to the national and international missions listed below, Church of the Oaks has supported local programs such as the Salvation Army, Gideons, Kinship Center (foster care and adoption services), and the women's shelter.

Seeds in HIS Garden - Nairobi, Kenya.A ministry of Hands of Hope International, Seeds in HIS Garden serves many "discarded" children of Nairobi.

The Missionary Society of the NACCC The Missionary Society strives to select projects that are Congregational Christian in faith and polity. These programs of Christian mission are becoming more holistic, ministering to the needs of the whole person: the spiritual, the physical, and the relational. The Missionary Society directs 100% of donations directly to the mission - nothing is withheld for administrative purposes. Church of the Oaks has supported the administrative costs of The Missionary Society, as well as the following Missionary Society supported missions:

Indian Trails Missions (Arizona and Mexico)
Piney Woods Country Life School (Mississippi)
Seafarer's Friend (Massachusetts)
National Association of Congregational Churches (Manila, Philippines)
Congregational Church of Myanmar
Mission Mazahua (Mexico)
Pan American Institute (Mexico)
